Mountaineer Audiology is owned and operated by Tara Crane, Doctor of Audiology. Dr. Crane prides herself on a service-oriented practice and provides personal attention to each individuals hearing needs. This allows the patient to make educated and informed decisions. Furthermore, she understands how important your time is, and endeavors to see patients promptly. If you are identified with hearing loss, your hearing aid options will be discussed in detail. Tara Crane

Au.D.

Dr. Tara Crane obtained her doctorate in audiology (AuD) from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania in 2008. Prior to that, a masters in audiology had been obtained from West Virginia University in 1996. She has practiced audiology in a variety of settings, such as ENT, private practice and hospital based. Due to 28 years of experience, Dr. Crane has worked with all manufacturers and come to appreciate what each one has to offer. In her downtime, she likes to focus on her farm where a variety of animals can be found.

Jamie Shingleton

Office Manager & Insurance Billing Specialist

Jamie Shingleton has been employed at Mountaineer Audiology since 2015, as an office manager and Insurance billing specialist. Proud wife and mom, I enjoy family time—whether it’s kayaking, boating, or cuddling with our dogs.

Cheryl Seifert

Reception & Marketing Director

Cheryl Seifert has worked in the hearing industry for the last 16 years, starting in 2008. In July 2023, she went to work for Dr. Tara Crane at Mountaineer Audiology’s second office located in Winchester, VA. Cheryl enjoys meeting people and being a part of the process of hearing things they haven’t heard in a while—those smiles make a difference. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family, which includes 15 grandchildren (ages 27 to 2 1/2), and friends! She also enjoys photography, painting and going to the beach.
